Details of courses and qualifications

 
Diploma in Computing from the Open University completed in November 2004. Courses entailed Object Oriented Programming and Relational Databases. Languages studied were UML, 'SmallTalk', C++, and SQL.  

MSc in Demography (Population Studies) from the London School of Economics during 1990-91. This entailed Life Table and Demographic Event History analyses and culminated in a study of the 1986 British Social Attitudes Survey.

 

BS in Economics from the State University of New York at Binghamton during 1986-89. This involved Calculus, Matrix Algebra, Econometrics, Mathematical Economic Analysis and generally all mathematics that would be needed to complete a PhD in Economics. Other chosen electives outside of core degree courses included Logic and Set Theory as part of a 'minor' in Philosophy.
